One of my closest friends sent this poem to me a few days ago. I feel like it speaks to our generation’s desire to go beyond labels and outward displays of ‘success’, and, instead, to ask the deeper questions. To turning our pain into something beautiful,
Sundays, for me, have always felt like a day for quiet and calm… for getting the chores done that I didn’t have time for during the week, so that I can start the next week feeling on top of things, prepared and energised. For lots of people though, Sundays are quite depressing… already the weekend is over, and tomorrow means back to work, stress, managing other people’s demands and expectations, and so on.
